The neem tree which is called kohomba in Sinhalese is a medicinal tree that is quite popular. A valuable medicinal and ornamental tree. Popular for its pest-resistant property due to insecticidal chemical constituents. The wood is used for timber. Also found in home gardens and along the roadside.
