Pirikara (පිරිකර) is an offering made to a Buddhist Temple as an offering to Lord Buddha. It is also a popular alms giving gesture to Buddhist Monks and given at various other Buddhist functions. A set of pirikara consists of the bare necessities required for a Buddhist monk's daily lifestyle.
