The Experience:
Your tour begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kosgoda at 4:30 AM. You will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Mirissa Harbour, which takes approximately two hours. The whale watching boat will depart from the harbor at 6:30 AM.
The tour lasts for about four hours, during which you will spend approximately one hour at the main whale sighting area. Your boat will maintain a responsible distance, slowing down and reducing engine noise to ensure minimal disturbance to the whales. The closest approach will be about 100 feet, ensuring a safe and ethical whale-watching experience.
